Today is the begining of long long tuning and finishing days.
I took a rest before facing the stage yesterday.
Many tiny tunings and tiny sculptings were done. Hands were enlarged a little. Lower arms were made slim, etc...
Feet are roughly sculpted. All sculpts appeared by that.
Further sculpting of hands and feet were done. Acculate sphers were installed to hands.
Further sculpting and finishing of hands and feet were done.
Further finishing of feet were done. Weist joint was tuned, and got wider moving angle. Sculpts around hip joint were refined, and hip joints were tuned to get the best posability. Thighs became a little bit slim.
Knee joints were tuned. The angle came to 125degree, as Thaasa did.
It means all difficult joints were finished, which makes me reliefed.
Tiny joint tunings continue, and total sculpt tunings begin.
Finishing of hands and feet still continues.
Total body line was tuned/sculpted. Some parts are sanded as finisshing.
She became very much slim , especially hip lines. Getting close to the name of Fragille.
Further tunings of total body line were done. Some parts were sanded. Breast became small. I am wondering if I should make it large again.
The shape of breast always needs discussion. Which shape to chose, when nude, or when wearing bra.
Around breast,shoulder, upper back are sculpted further. Thanks to the commnets on breast, it will be finished with small size. As upper torso was made thin, Fragille became look more fragile. Surfacer was sprayed very thin, in order to make the total sulpt look fair, hyding the colour of brown polyestel paty.
She might look nothing is changed, but many points were tued or sculted to make the line natural. For example, the line of upper arm was tuned. And thigh lines. hip shape, belly fatness, etc....
Oho, yes, navel appeared.
As I feel elbow sphere is a little bit big, it might be changed soon.
The spheres of elbow joints were changed from 14mm to 13mm, in order to make elbows themselves and total body line natural. I think it's got better.
Hip and west lines were also tuned to be slim.
Leg sculpts were tuned. The line starts from weist ,hip,thief, knee and ends at uncle. I think weist became nice. Lower arm sculpts were tuned a little bit. Breast was enlarged a little bit and made circular.
Independent sphere was installed to neck joint. ^^)Y By that, the bending range of neck joint increased so much , including the ability to bend sideward. Corporating with enlarged bendind angle of west joint, which has been done already, body expresion became nice, i think.
Calves around the knees were sculpted a little. lower arms were sculpted more.
Final tuning of hip joints were done. Shinydolls have several joints which other BJDs never have. Hip joints are the most extraordinary joints of shinydolls. It's very much difficult to tune them up.
Slit of knee parts were reduced until they were almost losing their functions, to get good appearance.
Body line from hip to knee was tuned. Lower arms were sculpted a little. I am so saticefied with the output. The whole body looks slender, but very slightly fatty. I would like to stop tuning of the body, and go into finishing. Off cause there would be tiny tunings while finishing if needed.
I was almost going to finishing, but.....
While I was in a train for a day, I was thinking that the miving range of elbow is not satisfactory. Then I came to the idea of combining the technique of Fragille's knee and the construction of Pricco II's knee.
New elbow joints are in her arms. With these units, her elbow would be perfect.
Knee joint units were connected to lower arms. Arms were sculpted roughly.
Elbow joint units were connected to upper arms temporary. Arms were sculpted raughly. The bending range was enlarged a little, which is very important to let her pose more human looking .
Rotating joints were installed to upper arms. Around the joints were sculpted. With these joints, arms got the ability to bend outword with sharp angle, which was not performed by Thaasa. The elbow joint construction is based on single joint, but considering the fact that two joints are installed around elbow area, the joint could be called as dowble joints.
I am very much longling to play posing with these joints. Many many human like poses would be possible.
The new arms were diged and strung to the body. The new elbow single joints were super satisfactory. The bending range is very much close to human's from 0 to 135 degrees. It stops at any angle, as other shinydoll's joints do. I really feel I came to the goal of BJD designing, I dreamed.
I would like to go into final sculpt tuning and finisshing fom now. ^^
